DOVER WATERFRONT PARK RUN

Dover Waterfront parkrun is a free, friendly weekly 5km event along Dover seafront, following a scenic route that includes the pier. Whether you choose to walk, jog, run, volunteer or simply cheer others on, it is a welcoming way to get active and enjoy Dover’s waterfront. Events take place every Saturday at 9am, starting behind the Sea Sports Centre on The Esplanade.

Gaming sessions at Gamebase

Gamebase -The ultimate Gaming Arena and video game store. Indoor Play ARENA at PLAYBASE

Playbase - A small, soft play area on the first floor over three platforms with slides, tunnel tube and ball bit, rope bridges and rollers. There are toddler, infant and after-school sessions and the centre is open to all during school holidays. Booking advised. Onsite refreshments including sandwiches, snacks, hot drinks, slush puppies and ice cream.

Little Artlings

Little Artlings is a community initiative in Dover that brings together art and nature to encourage creativity, mindfulness, and fun for children and their families. We follow three simple principles: Earth Care: We look after the environment by using foraged and local food, teaching about plants and nature, and focusing on sustainability. People Care: We create a welcoming space where people can enjoy good food, make friends, and feel part of a supportive community. Fair Share: We reduce waste by recycling, reusing materials, and sharing resources. At our sessions, you can expect things like Open art tables, seasonal plant-based snacks, a cosy reading corner, clay workshops, natural dye printing, clothing swaps, easy planting activities + more. Little Artlings is all about connecting with nature, being creative, and having fun together.

PAINTING WORKSHOPS AT ARTISTS’ DOVER

Artists’ Dover is a calm, light-filled creative studio in the town centre, designed to be a welcoming space for all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

Alongside the regular Sip and Paint evenings and Tea, Biscuits and Paint afternoons, they also host low-cost arts and crafts sessions for home educated children, seasonal workshops led by local makers, and space hire for creatives who want to run their own classes or community sessions.

In addition, they also showcase local and emerging artists through exhibitions and partnerships, and have recently begun working with two local doulas who will be offering pregnancy and postnatal support sessions from the studio. The studio has naturally become a supportive space for anyone looking for a gentle creative outlet or a place to connect with others. Join the Dover Big Local Parent & Child Group every Wednesday from 9:30am to 11:30am at the Charlton Centre. Designed for children aged 0–4, this group offers a welcoming space for parents and little ones to enjoy healthy snacks, crafts, toys, games, singing, storytime, and the chance to socialise. Our new group, inspired by the National Men's Sheds movement, began last week. We currently meet on Mondays at 2 pm, but this schedule is flexible based on members' preferences. The Forge Youth Art Club

The Forge is Future Foundry’s free weekly art club for all 11-16 year olds. No experience is necessary to come along, it’s super friendly, and all materials are provided. You can try out whatever you like at the Forge, including: drawing, zine making, fashion design, upcycling, ceramics, anime, print design, lino printing, tie dye, film making, painting, graphics, street art, pet portraits, card making, scrap sculpture, jewellery making, photography, illustration, badge making, plus more. At The Forge, you’ll have the chance to join group trips exploring arts and culture in Dover and the wider Kent area, along with opportunities to create, prepare, and sell your work at real-life markets! Access, Arts and Adventures

Working with disabled communities through in-person and online activities and groups to create accessible, inclusive and creative opportunities. This Arts Council England funded project is fully underway with a full programme of activities and experiences to book now. Access, Arts and Adventures was set up in 2023 because it was hard to find anything creative that catered for disabled people. Now, just over a year and a half later, you can try journalism, arts and crafts for wellbeing, creative writing, theatre, dance and music + more. Future Foundry Film Club

Future Foundry Film Club is a FREE club open to all 11-19 year olds in the Dover district. No experience necessary, everyone is welcome. Dates announced regularly on social media.
